MESSAGE/REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE FROM JANINE

We received an urgent plea from one of many visitors to the Pet Network Website.  Her name is Janine and she works very hard to make a difference with homeless cats and has done for many years.  CAN YOU HELP?  Please read what she has written (below) and contact her if you’re able to assist.

I am putting out a desperate plea for some assistance with feeding feral cats in downtown Toronto.  I am one of a very small group of volunteers which has recently grown even smaller.  Sadly, one dedicated long-time feeder (who is 70 years old) has fallen seriously ill and has had to stop feeding, another has moved away, and one decided she doesn’t want to feed anymore.  I have been trying to fill in for everyone but am finding it impossible – I have an autistic four year old son, a large group of my own cats (all rescues, of course), already feed ferals every day and work outside the home.  I am happy to supply all food and bowls.  All you need is half an hour to make a difference to some needy kitties!  If you are interested in feeding in any of the following areas, on any night, please contact Janine at jeffandjanine@sympatico.ca or 416-534-1170 – (1) Bloor and Christie; (2) College and Grace; (3) College and Spadina; (4) Kensington Market.
